Usable by everyone.

We want this site to work for everyone who wants to look at crochet bags, whatever they are using to browse. We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 level AA, and we treat a failure to reach it as a bug rather than a nice-to-have.

• A "skip to main content" link as the first thing a keyboard user reaches.
• Every interactive control reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus ring.
• Menus, the search dialog and the mobile drawer close on Escape and return focus sensibly.
• Text colours checked against their backgrounds for AA contrast, including the headline gradient.
• Images carry descriptive alt text; decorative artwork is hidden from screen readers rather than announced as noise.
• Live regions announce result counts when you filter the shop or search.
• All animation — including the backdrop and page transitions — stops when your system asks for reduced motion.
• The site works at 200% zoom and down to a 320px viewport without horizontal scrolling.

If you have "reduce motion" enabled in your operating system, drifting backdrops, fades and slide transitions are switched off automatically — you do not need to set anything here. Smooth scrolling is disabled at the same time.

Being honest about the current state:

• Product alt text describes the piece and its materials rather than every decorative detail in the photograph.
• The search dialog’s results list is keyboard navigable but does not yet implement the full ARIA combobox pattern.
• We have tested with VoiceOver on macOS and iOS, and with keyboard-only navigation. We have not yet tested with JAWS or Dragon.

These are on the list, not forgotten.

Tell us and we will fix it — you do not need to explain the technical cause. It helps if you can say what page you were on, what you were trying to do, and what you were using (browser, device, and any assistive software).

If a page is blocking you from something, we will also just do it for you by email in the meantime.
